Extended Capacity

While many look ahead, I turn my gaze upward to admire the splendor of architectural masterpieces. But it doesn’t always have to be a masterpiece; I also find beauty in buildings that seem ordinary or even ugly to others. I believe that beauty is subjective, depending on the viewer. My photographs are an interpretation of the buildings, share a history and show the value of even the most inconspicuous subjects.

In my images, I also show my fascination with color and the way it affects the world around us. I love the play of light and shadow creating different shades and nuances.

I look for symmetry, asymmetry and repetition in the lines and shapes of buildings. I express this by using collage techniques and visually expanding the buildings, creating new perspectives and revealing unnatural shapes.

Fading Colours

The world has become less colourful. Car parks mainly look grey and white, the average interior is beige and neutral colours are most popular when it comes to clothing. Magalie went hunting for colour in the sea of grey landscapes.

The cure for boredom

Unveiling a world where modernist architecture is anything but boring. Vibrant colours, unconventional lines, and captivating curves. Buildings that defy the mundane, challenging preconceived notions about modernist architecture.

Victor (d)evolution

Collection dedicated to the architectural legacy of Victor Bourgeois. In this series, we seek to encapsulate the evolution—or, according to some, the devolution—of Victor Bourgeois’s architectural vision.

Curves, corners and rounded corners

Looking for curves, corners and round corners, the literal boundaries of architecture. Often-overlooked details, where every curve, every angle, and every round corner unveils a symphony of design and elegance.
